The joys of simply playing are evident the world over. The villagers in Peak Sneng had never had the opportunity or ability to enjoy the many benefits of a Playgroup.

Almost 2 years ago, with the financial assistance of the Fox Family, Rice For Cambodia opened the Peak Sneng Playgroup. We employ Srortun, a ‘super’ single Mum to run the group. The group allows the children to just be kids, whilst giving the Mums a reason to come together as a community and talk.

Every week Srortun leads the children in games, singing, exercise, English class and offering fruit and drinks. The power of play is evident in the smiles and the sound of laughter. We will continue to support Srortun in this valuable project.
